A Special Investigation X-ray refers to advanced or contrast-enhanced radiographic procedures that go beyond routine X-rays to provide more detailed diagnostic information. These may include Barium Studies (for GI tract), Intravenous Pyelogram (IVP) for kidneys and urinary system, Hysterosalpingography (HSG) for fallopian tubes and uterus, and others.
