Ultrasound (Sonography)
Experience precision imaging with our advanced multi-slice CT technology. We provide ultra-high-resolution cross-sectional views for accurate clinical diagnosis.
Overview
Ultrasound, also known as sonography, is a safe and radiation-free imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time images of internal organs and tissues. It is especially effective for examining soft tissues and fluid-filled structures.
At AARNA Diagnostic Centre, we provide a wide range of ultrasound services including Abdominal, Pregnancy, Level 2, NT Scan, TIFFA Scan, Breast, Kidney, Liver, Pelvis, Scrotal, TVS, and Doppler Ultrasound. Pregnancy ultrasounds are used to monitor fetal growth, development, and position. NT Scan and TIFFA Scan are important for detecting fetal abnormalities.
Abdominal ultrasound helps evaluate organs such as the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and kidneys. Doppler ultrasound measures blood flow and helps detect blockages or clots in blood vessels. TVS (Transvaginal Scan) provides detailed imaging of female reproductive organs.
The procedure is painless and usually takes around 10–20 minutes. A gel is applied to the skin, and a handheld probe is moved over the area to capture images. In some cases, fasting or a full bladder may be required for better results.
Because it does not involve radiation, ultrasound is considered very safe and is widely used for routine checkups, especially during pregnancy.
