CT Scan (Computed Tomography)
Experience precision imaging with our advanced multi-slice CT technology. We provide ultra-high-resolution cross-sectional views for accurate clinical diagnosis.
Overview
A CT Scan (Computed Tomography) is an advanced imaging technique that combines multiple X-ray images to create detailed cross-sectional views of the body. It provides much more detailed information than a regular X-ray and is highly effective for examining soft tissues, organs, blood vessels, and bones.
At AARNA, we offer a comprehensive range of CT services including Non-contrast and Contrast CT, HRCT, CT Angiography, Brain, Chest, Abdomen, KUB, PNS, CBCT, and CECT scans. Contrast CT scans use a special dye (contrast agent) to highlight blood vessels and organs, making it easier to detect tumors, infections, or internal bleeding.
HRCT (High-Resolution CT) is particularly useful for detailed lung evaluation, including infections and fibrosis. CT Angiography helps assess blood vessels and detect blockages. Brain CT scans are essential for diagnosing strokes, injuries, and hemorrhages. KUB CT scans focus on kidneys, ureters, and bladder, commonly used to detect stones.
The procedure typically takes 10–30 minutes. The patient lies on a motorized table that moves through a circular scanner. The test is painless, though patients must remain still for clear images. If contrast is used, a warm sensation or metallic taste may be experienced briefly.
CT scans are fast, accurate, and extremely valuable in emergency and detailed diagnostic situations.
