Sputum AFB (2nd Day & 3rd Day)

Sputum AFB (Acid-Fast Bacillus) test is a diagnostic test used to detect Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacteria responsible for tuberculosis (TB). This test is performed over two consecutive days (2nd day & 3rd day) to improve accuracy in detecting TB infection. It helps confirm pulmonary tuberculosis and monitor treatment effectiveness.
